For those
looking not only to enjoy the pleasures of Tara but also looking for a touring base, Chipping Sodbury is the ideal location. The town itself is of a delightfully antique character, with cobbled streets, old oak beams and at Old Sodbury, a prehistoric hill fort. Further afield but only a short drive away is Bristol, with its bright night-life, superb shopping and Zoo; Bath, the cultural centre since Roman times; the Slimbridge Wild Fowl Trust, founded by Sir Peter Scott, Cheddar Gorge; Brunel's Clifton Suspension Bridge; and much more besides.
